What is Billie?
Billie is a "Buy now, pay later" (BNPL) payment provider for business customers in the EU. Your B2B customers can complete their order immediately, but pay the invoice at a later time. For you as a vendor, the payment is still securely processed via Digistore24 - the payment provider assumes the risk of default.
At its core, Billie works like a modern invoice purchase for companies: The business customer orders with an invoice at checkout, receives their goods or services, and settles the invoice within the agreed payment term. This is attractive for many companies because it helps them plan their liquidity and cash flow more effectively.
If you sell your products to business customers, you can use Billie to offer a payment method that is very popular in the B2B sector. This comes with several advantages for you:
- Higher conversion in B2B transactions: Business customers are less likely to abandon the purchase if they can buy on invoice with a payment term.
- More competitive offering: You offer a payment method that many companies know and expect from traditional shopping.
- Stronger customer loyalty: Flexible payment options make repeat purchases and recurring orders more likely.
- No additional risk for you: The payment is guaranteed by the BNPL provider; credit checks, payment defaults, and dunning are handled by the payment provider, not by you.
Important: Billie is only available for purchases by business customers (B2B) and only for certain resellers, countries and currencies. You can find out which customers see Billie in the checkout in the section For which customers is Billie shown as a payment method during checkout?

For which customers is Billie shown as a payment method during checkout?
If you have activated Billie as a payment method and your product can also be purchased by business customers, whether Billie is shown at checkout depends on three factors:
- which reseller processes the purchase
- whether the customer orders as a business customer (B2B) or a private customer (B2C)
- from which country of origin the customer is ordering

What payment options does Billie offer?
Billie offers the option for one-time payments - recurring payments (subscriptions or installments) are not supported.
Customers pay with Billie based on the Buy now, pay later principle:
They complete the purchase immediately, receive the goods or service, and settle the invoice later - within a defined payment term. For your B2B customers, this means more flexibility for their cash flow, while you as a vendor do not take on any additional risks, as the payment is secured by the BNPL provider.
Do I incur additional fees when customers pay with Billie?
No, beyond the usual margin, there are no additional fees for you as a vendor if your customers pay with Billie.
Can additional sales also be paid for with Billie?
Yes, if your customer meets the requirements for Billie, they can also pay upsells, add-ons and order-bumps with Billie. However, one-click upsells are not possible.
