One-click upsell refers to the purchase of an upsell product directly on the upsell page without the customer being redirected to the order form. One-click upsells streamline the sales process, ensuring a better buying experience for the customer. This allows you to achieve more consecutive sales and increase your conversion.

Benefits of one-click upsells
Sales pages normally lead to the order form for the respective product, where the customer can complete the purchase. Upsell pages are sales pages too and lead to the order form for the respective upsell product.
The longer the sales process takes, the higher the cancellation rate by customers. For example, if an upsell process includes two further upsell steps alongside the initial sale, the customer would have to visit six different pages during the sales process - the initial sales page and the initial order form as well as the two subsequent upsell pages and the respective order forms.
The primary function of the order form is entering customer data, without which the purchase cannot be completed. When purchasing the initial product, the customer enters their personal and payment details in the order form. After the purchase, the data already saved can be used in upsell sales so that the customer doesn't have to enter it again.
If the data from the initial purchase is sufficient to carry out the upsell, i.e. no further data needs to be added, a one-click upsell is possible. In this case, the customer can purchase the upsell product directly on the upsell page. This can significantly shorten the sales process, resulting in a lower bounce rate and higher conversion.
Attention
Discount codes are entered in the order form. As there is no order form displayed for one-click upsells, no discount codes can be entered for the purchase.
Requirements
One-click upsells are activated automatically if none of the following exclusion criteria apply.

Observe the EU legal criteria for upsell pages. If you use your own buy buttons on an upsell page, the order form can be skipped, but there is still an additional step to confirm the purchase on the upsell page. Exclusion criteria
The following exclusion criteria prevent the automatic activation of one-click upsells. In these cases, the order form must be displayed so that the purchase can be completed. Digistore24 will check every single upsell step.
- In a sales process, both of the following points apply:
- The customer uses the payment method "Klarna"
AND
- You sell the product via the German reseller Digistore24 GmbH, the UK reseller Digistore24 Ltd., or the Irish reseller Digistore24 MSLW Limited

For sales via the US reseller Digistore24 Inc., one-click upsells with the payment method "Klarna" are possible. - The customer uses the payment method "Klarna"
- The customer uses the payment method "Bank transfer".
Reason: Additional information must be displayed in the order form for bank transfer as a payment method.
- The upsell product is a shipping product and the customer did not enter an address during the initial purchase.
Reason: The customer must enter additional data in the order form.
- There was a right of revocation for the initial product, but not for the upsell product.
Reason: The customer must give additional consent in the order form.
- An add-on is stored for the upsell product.
Reason: The customer must make an extra decision in the order form.
