You can use the Digistore24 app for two-factor authentication (2FA) to secure your Digistore24 account. The Digistore24 app for iPhone/iPad and Android offers many functions as well as a secure, convenient way to use 2FA:

• You install the Digistore24 app on your smartphone or tablet.
• You start setting up 2FA via your browser and then activate it in the app.
• Once 2FA is set up, you enter your password when logging in and then confirm a notification in the app.

Note

If you've installed the Digistore24 app on several smartphones/tablets, you can only use one of them for 2FA. For security reasons, the 2FA access is linked to the device you use to set up the 2FA.

Prepare Digistore24 app

1. Install the Digistore24 app on your smartphone or tablet. If you've already installed it, make sure it is up to date.
2. Make sure that notifications for 2FA are enabled in the Digistore24 app settings.
3. In the general settings of your smartphone/tablet, make sure that notifications are activated for the Digistore24 app.
   • Set notifications for iPhone
   • Set notifications for iPad
   • Set notifications for Android
4. Log into the Digistore24 app.

Attention

Notifications must be activated, both in the Digistore24 app settings and in the general settings of your smartphone/tablet.

Set up 2FA

1. Open https://www.digistore24.com/.
2. Log into your Digistore24 account.
3. Open Account > Details.
4. Set up 2FA under Account details in the Two-factor authentication field:
   • Click on Set up now if you haven't set up 2FA access yet.
   • Click on Change in the Primary field if you have already set up 2FA access and want to change it.
   • Click on Set up now in the Backup field if you have already set up 2FA access and want to add a second one as a backup.
   • Click on Change in the Backup field if you have already set up a second 2FA access and want to change it.

     Attention

     Use different devices for Primary and Backup so that you can continue to log in if you lose a device.

5. Select the Digistore24 app option.
6. Scroll to the bottom and enter your Digistore24 password in the Current password field.
7. Click on Continue. A notification from the Digistore24 app will appear on your smartphone/tablet.
8. Click on the notification on your smartphone/tablet. The Digistore24 app will open.
9. Click on Yes - it's me in the Digistore24 app. The 2FA setup is now complete.

Log into Digistore24 with 2FA

You have set up 2FA with the Digistore24 app and want to log into your Digistore24 account.

Proceed as follows:

1. Open https://www.digistore24.com/.
2. Log in with your email address and Digistore24 password. A second login window will appear in your browser and a Digistore24 app notification will appear on your smartphone/tablet.

   Note

   If you have set up this 2FA access device as a backup, click on Use backup device in the login window.

3. Click on the notification on your smartphone/tablet. The Digistore24 app will now open.
4. Click on Yes - it's me in the Digistore24 app. You are now logged in.
