What is Wero?
Wero is a payment method that allows your customers to pay directly via their online banking – no credit card, no external wallet. During checkout, the buyer is redirected to the secure environment of their bank, authenticates there, and the payment is confirmed immediately.
For you as a vendor, the processing is just as secure as with card payments: The payment provider confirms the transaction, the order is executed, and the buyer receives their confirmation as usual.
Important: Wero is only available for certain resellers and countries. You can find out which customers see Wero at checkout in the section Which customers will see Wero as a payment option?
Can I enable Wero as a payment method for my customers?
You can enable Wero as a payment method for products you sell through the reseller Digistore24 MSLW Limited. It is available for any product at any price point – there is no minimum order amount.
Which reseller am I selling through?
Click the user icon in the upper right corner, then click Edit account details and scroll to Reseller contracts. There you can see which resellers you have a contract with.
If you sell through multiple resellers, you can check under My products > Product list in the Approval column to see which reseller each product is approved for.
Tip
You can add another reseller contract at any time.

How do I enable Wero as a payment method?
Go to the settings of the respective product and add Wero as a payment method (see Set payment methods).
Note
Wero is available as a payment method for the cart builder order form and the cart builder multi-step order box. If you are still using the classic or responsive order form types, we recommend switching to the cart builder.
Which customers will see Wero as a payment option?
If you have enabled Wero as a payment method, whether it appears at checkout depends on two factors:
- which reseller processes the purchase
- from which country of origin the customer is ordering
| Reseller | Wero available | Possible countries of origin of the customer* | Available currencies |
| Digistore24 MSLW Limited | ✅ | Germany | Euro (EUR) |
| Digistore24 GmbH | ❌ | ||
| Digistore24 Inc. | ❌ | ||
| Digistore24 Ltd. | ❌ |
*) How is the customer's country of origin determined?
The customer's country is usually determined based on their IP address, unless you have configured the order form so that the customer is required to enter their address.
Which payment options does Wero offer?
Wero supports one-time payments – recurring payments (subscriptions or installment plans) are not supported.
Note
As soon as a payment plan includes a subscription or installment payment, Wero is automatically hidden from the order form – even if other payment plans in the same cart are one-time payments.
Do additional fees apply if customers pay with Wero?
No, beyond the usual margin, there are no additional fees for you as a vendor when your customers pay with Wero.
Can additional sales also be paid with Wero?
Yes, customers can also pay for add-ons and order bumps with Wero, as long as all payment plans in the cart are one-time payments.
Upsells are possible, but the buyer will need to select a payment method again and complete a new payment flow. One-click upsells are not supported, as Wero does not store payment details for future transactions.
What should buyers know about Wero?
Immediate confirmation or rejection: Wero payments are confirmed or declined in real time – there is no delayed response.
