To whom is Klarna available?

Klarna is automatically activated for all vendors on Digistore24. This means you can activate Klarna as a payment method for each of your products.

Are there any additional fees?

No, apart from the usual margin, there are no additional fees for you as a vendor if your customers pay with Klarna.

How do I activate Klarna as a payment method?

Go to the settings of the respective product and add Klarna as a payment method (see Set payment methods).

Please note 
Klarna is available as a payment method for the cart builder order form and the cart builder multi-step order box. If you still use the classic or responsive order form types, we recommend switching to the cart builder.

Which customers are shown Klarna as a payment method when making a purchase?

This depends on the customer's country of origin and the reseller through which the purchase is concluded:

*) How is the customer's country of origin determined?
The customer's country is usually determined by their IP address, unless you have configured the order form so that the customer should enter their address.

Tip
You can conclude another reseller contract at any time to offer Klarna as a payment method to as many of your customers as possible.

What payment options does Klarna offer?

Your customers can use the following payment options via Klarna:

• Pay now: Your customers pay immediately by direct debit, instant bank transfer, or credit card. This payment option is available for single payments and subscriptions.
• Buy now, pay later: Your customers pay in up to 30 days with an interest-free one-off payment or in 3 interest-free installments.
• Installment payment:  Your customers pay in up to 36 installments with interest.

Please note
Payment options offered by Klarna depend on the buyer country, liquidity of the buyer, product price, and reseller through which the sale is processed.

Can additional sales also be paid for with Klarna?

Yes, if your customer meets the requirements for Klarna, they can also pay for upsells, add-ons, and order bumps with Klarna.

One-click upsells that are concluded via the reseller Digistore24 Inc. can also be paid for by your customers with Klarna.
