The payout method determines how Digistore24 pays out your earnings; the payout currency determines which currency you're paid in. You set both on your payout account under Settings > Payout account (see how to set up a payout account as a vendor or as an affiliate).
Good to know
Setting a method and currency is part of the requirements for payouts.
Payout methods
Four payout methods are available. Which ones you can choose depends on your reseller — the Digistore24 company that handles your sales. Each reseller offers a different set:
| Reseller | PayPal | SEPA transfer | US transfer (ACH) | International bank transfer |
| Digistore24 Inc. (US) | ✓ | ✗ | ✓ | ✓ |
| Digistore24 GmbH (DE) | ✓ | ✓ | ✗ | ✓ |
| Digistore24 MSLW Limited (IE) | ✓ | ✓ | ✗ | ✓ |
| Digistore24 LTD (UK) | ✓ | ✓ | ✗ | ✓ |
Payout fees
Digistore24 charges a fee on each payout; the amount depends on your method and reseller (see the full costs for Digistore24 Inc. (US), Digistore24 GmbH (DE), Digistore24 MSLW Limited (IE), or Digistore24 LTD (UK)). For international transfers, your own bank may also charge to receive the money.
Wise and Payoneer
Wise and Payoneer aren't payout methods. They're platforms that give you bank details (for example a US account number and routing number) which you enter under a bank-transfer method (see How to get paid to your Payoneer account).
What each method needs when you set it up
PayPal
- Click Enter PayPal email.
- Enter your details and confirm.
PayPal verification purchase
To confirm your PayPal email, setting up PayPal includes a small one-time verification purchase — 1.00 €/$/CHF (see Fees for PayPal payouts).
SEPA transfer
SEPA is the standard euro (EUR) transfer for bank accounts in the SEPA area (most of Europe).
- Enter your IBAN — the Swift code (BIC) fills in automatically.
- Optionally add a Purpose (a short note that appears on your bank statement).
Account holder must match your bank
The account holder is taken from your Digistore24 account address (shown read-only). Make sure it matches the holder of your bank account — Digistore24 doesn't check it, but your bank can return the payout if the names don't match, a common cause of failed payouts.
US transfer (ACH)
ACH is the standard US bank transfer, available with the US reseller only.
- Enter your Account number and Routing number (from your US bank).

International bank transfer
- Enter your IBAN or account number and your Swift code (BIC) — your bank's international code.
- Scroll to the Bank section and enter the bank's details.
A payout fee applies to international transfers, and your bank may charge to receive the money too.

Payout currency
A payout account controls two things about currency:
- Which sales flow into this payout account — by buyer currency (the currency the customer paid in). This is the For sales in currencies field.
- Which currency you're paid in — this is the The payout … field.
You can be paid out in EUR, USD, GBP, or CHF. Which of these you can choose depends on your reseller:
| Reseller | Payout currencies |
| Digistore24 Inc. (US) | USD |
| Digistore24 GmbH (DE) | EUR, USD, CHF |
| Digistore24 MSLW Limited (IE) | EUR, USD, GBP, CHF |
| Digistore24 LTD (UK) | EUR, USD, GBP |
Two payout methods are tied to a currency: US transfer (ACH) pays out in USD, and SEPA transfer pays out in EUR. PayPal and international bank transfer work with whichever currencies your reseller supports.
Choosing your payout currency
Under The payout … you can choose:
- … is made without currency conversion — each sale is paid out in its own currency; you get one payout per currency. If your reseller does not support a particular currency for payout, that sale is automatically paid out in USD.
- … is made in the currency set for your account — everything is converted into your account currency (set under Account details) and bundled.
- … is made in a fixed currency you choose — everything is converted into that currency.
When a currency can't be converted
Digistore24 can't convert the currency in two cases:
- Joint ventures of the "help with product creation" type.
- Installment payments where money is still owed.
What does this mean for you? If you've set a payout currency different from the buyer currency, that money can't be paid out.
Solution: create an additional payout account that pays out in the original (buyer) currency — for example USD instead of EUR.
