What is Instant Bank Payments?
Instant Bank Payments (IBP) allows your customers to pay directly from their bank account at checkout. The feature is powered by Stripe Link: the buyer selects their bank, authenticates using their bank credentials, and the payment is authorized and debited instantly.
For you as a vendor, the processing is just as secure as with card payments: Stripe confirms the transaction, the order is executed, and the buyer receives their confirmation as usual.
Note
Buyers must authenticate with their bank credentials through Stripe Link to complete a payment. If their bank is not supported by Stripe Link, this payment method will not be available to them. A list of supported institutions is maintained by Stripe.
Can I enable Instant Bank Payments as a payment method for my customers?
You can enable Instant Bank Payments as a payment method for products you sell through the US reseller Digistore24 Inc. It is available for any product at any price point - there is no minimum order amount.
Which reseller am I selling through?
Click the user icon in the upper right corner, then click Edit account details and scroll to Reseller contracts. There you can see which resellers you have a contract with.
If you sell through multiple resellers, you can check under My products > Product list in the Approval column to see which reseller each product is approved for.

You can add another reseller contract at any time.

How do I enable Instant Bank Payments as a payment method?
Go to the settings of the respective product and add Instant Bank Payments as a payment method (see Set payment methods).
Which customers will see Instant Bank Payments as a payment option?
Customers who purchase through the US reseller Digistore24 Inc. will see Instant Bank Payments as a payment option, provided their bank is supported by Stripe Link.
Which payment options does Instant Bank Payments offer?
Instant Bank Payments supports one-time payments and recurring payments (subscriptions or installment plans).
Do additional fees apply if customers pay with Instant Bank Payments?
No, beyond the usual margin, there are no additional fees for you as a vendor when customers pay with Instant Bank Payments.
Can additional sales also be paid with Instant Bank Payments?
Yes, customers can also pay for upsells (including one-click upsells), add-ons, and order bumps with Instant Bank Payments.
What should buyers know about Instant Bank Payments?
Two things are useful to know if your customers ask:
- Insufficient funds: If a buyer does not have sufficient funds at the time of payment, the transaction is declined immediately.
- Statement posting delay: Bank payments are processed in batches. Transactions typically post to the buyer's bank statement at midnight. A delay between a completed payment and the buyer seeing it on their statement is expected behavior, not an error.
