1. How do I get affiliates to promote my product?
Simply creating a product is not enough to get affiliates to promote it.
After creating your product, you should also create a so-called marketplace entry. Only when your product is listed on our Digistore24 marketplace can affiliates find and promote your product to potential buyers.
2. How can I make my products more attractive for affiliates?
Offer a higher affiliate commission
Of course, you will gain more affiliates if you offer a high affiliate commission. The higher the commission, the more attractive it is for affiliates to promote your products.
Reward your best affiliates
On your affiliate support page, you can not only advertise a high commission but also offer a bonus for particularly successful partners. This can be an even higher commission for future sales, or you can "promote" the affiliate to your default affiliate. This means they will receive a commission on each of your product sales if no other affiliate is tracked.
You can set the default affiliate for a specific product as follows: Click on the pencil icon of the corresponding product under Account > Products and enter the affiliate's Digistore24 ID as the default affiliate.
Provide excellent service
If an affiliate has questions, they should receive a helpful answer as quickly as possible. This prevents the affiliate from becoming frustrated with your customer service and not wanting to promote your product.
Only offer high-quality products for promotion
If you provide excellent service through your product/service and your sales page reflects a high-quality product through professional design, there is a much higher chance that many affiliates will want to promote your product.
Excellent quality also affects marketplace metrics. The more often a product is purchased and the fewer returns there are, the higher the product's popularity. Many affiliates exclusively look at popularity on the marketplace.
Make your sales page appealing
Experience has shown that your sales will noticeably increase if you make your sales page as clear and understandable as possible. Not only do your customers like attractive sales pages, but your affiliates do too. For example, equip your sales page with a webinar so your affiliates can see how professionally you run your business.
3. How can I see which of my affiliates are the most successful?
Step-by-step guide
- In your Vendor view, click Dashboard.
- Add the Top Affiliates tile.
- There you will find an overview of your most successful affiliates.
4. How can I win the affiliates of another vendor for my product?
There is a possibility to win new affiliates from other vendors:
You can ask another vendor to recommend your product to their affiliates. In return, you involve the vendor in the commissions that their and now your affiliates earn by promoting your products. You thus give the vendor a so-called affiliate referral commission. However, another vendor may recommend you without asking for a referral commission.
For the vendor to receive the affiliate referral commission, you should activate it under Account > Contracts in the tab Affiliate Referral Commission. We explain exactly how this works here.
5. Can I contact my affiliates via Klick-Tipp?
We want to make it easy for you to contact your affiliates. Therefore, we have ensured that an affiliate list is created fully automatically during full integration with Klick-Tipp – our recommended email marketing system. You should, of course, be a Klick-Tipp customer.
You can also contact your affiliates individually and conventionally by emailing them. You can find your affiliates' email addresses in the contact list under Account > Affiliates.
6. How do I block affiliates?
An affiliate can be easily blocked if you do not want them to continue promoting your products.
Step-by-step guide
- In the Vendor view, go to Account > Affiliates.
- In the list, click on the magnifying glass icon of the affiliate you want to block.
- Select rejected under Approval.
- Finally, click Save.
7. How do I block domains that bring bad traffic?
In some cases, affiliates may send traffic from addresses that negatively impact your marketplace metrics. The result is many visitors, few buyers, and thus a lower conversion rate.
Step-by-step guide: Block a domain
- In the Vendor view, go to Settings > Blacklist.
- Switch to the Promo-Link Referrer tab.
- Enter the domain you want to block under Referrer URL. You can enter multiple domains here – one per line.
- Finally, click Save.
8. Why isn't my product appearing on the marketplace?
Please note that your product is not automatically listed on the marketplace. To have your product appear on the marketplace, you should first create a marketplace entry.
