With the affiliate referral program, vendors enable their affiliates to recruit new affiliates. This way, vendors can expand their affiliate network while affiliates earn extra money.

How it works
- Vendors can set up the affiliate referral program.
- Vendors can create an invitation link to the Digistore24 registration form. They send this link to their affiliates. The invitation link is valid for products selected by the vendor.
- Affiliates can distribute the invitation link to people without a Digistore24 account, e.g. via email distribution lists or landing pages. Affiliates become recruiting partners for the vendor if they recruit at least one new affiliate in this manner.
- People who click on the invitation link and create a new Digistore24 account will become recruited affiliates for all products linked to the invitation link.
How it is calculated
- When setting up an affiliate referral program, the vendor will set the referral commission as a percentage.
- The referral commission is based on the monetary value of the affiliate commission set for the respective product. As a result, the referral commission is both variable and product-dependent.
- The referral commission and affiliate commission are paid by the vendor.
- Whenever a recruited affiliate refers a sale, they receive the affiliate commission and the recruiting affiliate receives the referral commission.

Example
- Vera is a vendor. She sells a product for €100. She sets an affiliate commission of 30% for the product and a referral commission of 10% for the affiliate referral program.
- Vera creates an invitation link and sends it to all her affiliates via an email campaign.
- John is already one of Vera's affiliates. He would like to join the affiliate referral program.
- John forwards the invitation link to his friend Anna, who does not yet have an account on Digistore24.
- Anna clicks on the invitation link and registers with Digistore24. She automatically becomes one of Vera's affiliates for all products for which the invitation link is valid.
- The registration is complete. Now John is a recruiting affiliate of Vera, and Anna is a recruited affiliate of Vera.
- Whenever Anna as a recruited affiliate successfully refers the product, she will receive the 30% affiliate commission set for the product from you as a vendor.
- Whenever Anna as a recruited affiliate successfully refers the product, John as a recruiting partner receives the referral commission of 10% from you as vendor.
Example calculation
Gross earnings: €100
VAT: 19% = €15.87 (in Germany, without tax reduction)
Digistore24 margin: €8.90
Net earnings: €75.13
Affiliate commission (Anna's share): 30% = €22.54
Referral commission (John's share): 3 % (which is 10% of the affiliate commission) = ~ €2.25
Vendor earnings (Vera's share): 67% = €50.34
