With the Customers-to-Affiliates program, you can offer buyers of your products the chance to promote them as affiliates.

Your customers know and use your products. If they like your products, chances are they'll recommend them to friends or acquaintances anyway. If you give them the chance to earn money for doing so, you can recruit highly credible affiliates.

1. In the vendor view Account > Affiliates.
2. Open the Customers to affiliates tab.
3. Click on the New entry button. You can create multiple entries, e.g. because you want to create separate referral programs for different product groups.
4. Enter a Name, e.g. "Customers to Affiliates".
5. Select any number of products under Show for purchase of. Whenever one of these products is purchased, the customer subsequently receives a general offer to become an affiliate.
6. Select any number of products under Create affiliation for. Customers become affiliates of these products. 
7. You can specify that affiliates receive a commission when customers they refer become affiliates themselves.
   1. In the Assign affiliate referral commission field, select yes.
   2. Set up the affiliate referral program.
8. In the Active field, select the yes option if you want the referral program to be ready to use immediately. Select the no option if you want to activate it later. You can also deactivate it in this way later.
9. In the Link to become an affiliate  section you write the text which should be displayed with the Customers-to-Affiliates program on the order confirmation page and in the order confirmation email. The text fields headline, Information text, Link label are pre-filled, you can customize them.

   Once a buyer clicks on the become-an-affiliate link, the following happens:

   1. A Digistore24 account is automatically created for the buyer and linked to the email address they used for the purchase.
   2. The new account will be added to your affiliate list for the products you selected.
   3. The new affiliate will be directed to the affiliate confirmation page where they will find their login details. These are also sent to them by email.
10. In order for the new affiliate to understand the context, they need more information. Add explanatory text for this in the Affiliate confirmation page  section.
    • An introduction to the relationship between you, Digistore24, and them as an affiliate.
    • Hints on what they should do next. For example, you can refer them to the Quick-Start-Guide for Affiliates, or even how they can change their Digistore24 ID.
    • Information about where they can find advertising material or further information, and how they can find your affiliate support page.
    • Hints on where they can start advertising. For example, on their social networks.
11. Click on the Save button.
