After setting up your Digistore24 account (address and VAT ID/tax number), add a payout account so Digistore24 can pay out your commissions.
Accept your reseller contract first
Before a reseller can pay you, accept its contract under Account details > Reseller contracts (see Reseller contracts at Digistore24).
Earning through more than one reseller?
Each reseller pays out separately. If you earn through more than one reseller, set up a separate payout account for each (see Use multiple payout accounts).
Set up your payout account
Here's how to set up your payout account:
- In the vendor or affiliate view, go to Settings > Payout account.
-
Fill in all fields.
Need help with a field?
Expand Choosing a payout method, Choosing a payout currency, or The account holder name below — or see What each field means.
- Scroll up to the Current password field and enter your Digistore24 password. This validates your changes.
- Click Save.
That's it — your payout account is saved. With the default settings, you're paid on the 7th and 21st each month, once your commissions reach the payout threshold. You can change any setting later (see Change payout account).
Choosing a payout method
The payout methods you can choose depend on your reseller.
| Reseller | PayPal | SEPA transfer | US transfer (ACH) | International bank transfer |
| Digistore24 Inc. (US) | ✓ | ✗ | ✓ | ✓ |
| Digistore24 GmbH (DE) | ✓ | ✓ | ✗ | ✓ |
| Digistore24 MSLW Limited (IE) | ✓ | ✓ | ✗ | ✓ |
| Digistore24 LTD (UK) | ✓ | ✓ | ✗ | ✓ |
- PayPal — available with every reseller. Setup includes a small one-time verification purchase (1.00 €/$/CHF) to confirm your PayPal email (see Fees for PayPal payouts).
- SEPA transfer — for payouts in euros (EUR) to a bank account in the SEPA area (most of Europe). Available with the DE, UK, and IE resellers.
- US transfer (ACH) — available with the US reseller only.
- International bank transfer — available with every reseller.
Payout fees
Digistore24 charges a fee on each payout; the amount depends on your method and reseller (see the full costs for Digistore24 Inc. (US), Digistore24 GmbH (DE), Digistore24 MSLW Limited (IE), or Digistore24 LTD (UK)). For international transfers, your own bank may also charge to receive the money.
Wise and Payoneer
Wise and Payoneer aren't payout methods. They're platforms that give you bank details (for example a US account number and routing number) which you enter under a bank-transfer method (see How to get paid to your Payoneer account).
For full details, see Set method and currency.
Choosing a payout currency
Your commissions build up in the currency of each sale. When Digistore24 pays you, it converts your balance into the payout currency you choose. You can be paid out in EUR, USD, GBP, or CHF — which of these you can choose depends on your reseller:
| Reseller | Payout currencies |
| Digistore24 Inc. (US) | USD |
| Digistore24 GmbH (DE) | EUR, USD, CHF |
| Digistore24 MSLW Limited (IE) | EUR, USD, GBP, CHF |
| Digistore24 LTD (UK) | EUR, USD, GBP |
For full details, see Set method and currency.
The account holder name
For bank transfers, the account holder is taken from your Digistore24 account address and shown read-only — it's not a field you fill in.
Make sure that name matches the holder of your bank account exactly. Digistore24 doesn't check it, but your bank can return the payout if the names don't match — a common cause of failed payouts.
- Good: Jane Smith (a personal account in her name); Acme Marketing Ltd. (a company account)
- Avoid: Jane (a partial name or nickname); My Business (not the registered legal name)
If they don't match, update your name under Account details, or use a bank account in that name.
For full details, see Set method and currency.
What each field means
| Field | Explanation |
| Current password | Enter the password you use to log in to Digistore24. This validates your changes when you save. |
| Payouts per month | Choose the days of the month for your payouts. A payout only runs once your payout threshold is reached (see Set dates and thresholds). |
| Payout threshold | The amount your commissions must reach before a payout runs. A separate security deposit is also withheld from each sale and released after a holding period (see About the security deposit). |
| Active | Set to Yes by default. Your payout settings only take effect while this is set to Yes. |
| For sales in currencies | Which sales — by the currency the customer paid in — are paid to this account, or leave All (see Choosing a payout currency). |
| Reseller | Which reseller's sales this account is for. Only shown if you earn through more than one reseller. |
| Notify by email | Optional. One or more email addresses to be notified about payouts. |
| Payout method | Choose the account type and enter its details (see Choosing a payout method). |
| The payout … | The currency you're paid in: the currency of each sale, your account's default currency, or a fixed currency (see Choosing a payout currency). |
| Account holder | Taken from your account address and shown read-only. Make sure it matches the holder of your bank account (see The account holder name). |
Troubleshooting
| Message | What to do |
| "[method] is NOT available for [reseller]." / "Please select another payout method." | The method you picked isn't offered by your reseller. Choose one from the methods table above. |
| "Reseller's B2B contract not accepted." | Accept the reseller contract first, under Account details > Reseller contracts. |
| Your IBAN is rejected | Re-check your IBAN. The Swift code fills in automatically from it, so a wrong IBAN is the usual cause. |
| Payout returned or bounced | Usually the account-holder name (taken from your account address) doesn't match your bank account. Update your name under Account details to match your bank, and check your IBAN/account details. |
