Create free webinars with subsequent product sales

Webinars are ideal for getting in touch with your potential customers and attracting their attention. This way, you can slowly initiate your product sales according to the AIDA principle (Attention, Interest, Decision, Action): Before the actual sale, you first arouse the attention and interest of your customers in the product, which leads to the purchase decision and finally to the actual transfer of funds. Affiliates promoting your webinar play an important role in this process.

First step: What you need to create a webinar on Digistore24

  • You need a product with a sales page that has been set up on Digistore24 and an order form.
  • You will also need a webinar provider with which you will create a webinar and the webinar registration page for it. This is where your customers sign up for the webinar. The webinar must contain a link to your sales page or order form at the end. The link to the order form can be found under Account > Products by clicking on the ⁝ symbol and then Promolink & Affiliate invitation link. Leave this link with your webinar provider.
  • Finally, you need affiliates or their email addresses/contact information. In order for your affiliates to receive their commission, they need a so-called content link which leads to the webinar registration page. This content link contains a cookie that is valid for 180 days. Your webinar should therefore take place within 180 days after your affiliates have used the links to the webinar registration page.


Provide your affiliates with content links to the webinar registration page

You have two options for making the content links to the webinar registration page available to your affiliates:

For option 1, use the Digistore24 advertising feature and make the content link available on it. For option 2, create a content link and distribute it on your own affiliate support page. If you haven’t yet created an affiliate support page on WordPress and are not familiar with it, we recommend option 1.

Option 1: Use Digistore24 advertising feature

Option 2: Create content link and distribute it on your affiliate support page

First of all, create a content page with a content link to your webinar registration page. The content page corresponds to another sales page. The content link contains a placeholder for the affiliate ID which allows each affiliate to create their own personal promolink. You as a vendor make the content link available to your affiliates on your affiliate support page on WordPress.

Create content page with a content link

  1. In the Vendor view, go to Account > Content pages.
  2. Click on the button Create content page.
  3. For Name, enter a name for your content page.
  4. For Target URL, enter the link to your other sales page.
  5. For For product, select the related product.
  6. For Approval, choose the option Request approval now to allow the content links to be used by your affiliates.
  7. If you click on the button Save, your particular content link/promolink will be created which leads to the respective sales page.

    After you have created your content page for the webinar registration page, you will be able to see the content link.

  8. Copy the Content link.
  9. Open the WordPress admin area of your WordPress page.
  10. Create an affiliate support page if it doesn’t already exist. In addition to the promolink generator that you set up for the webinar registration page, you can also provide advertising material such as email campaigns.

  11. Now make sure that you have installed the Digistore24 plugin for WordPress. You can check this under the menu item Plugins in your WP admin area. Otherwise, you can download it here:

  12. Now you have to upload and install the Digistore24 plugin file on WordPress under Plugins > Install.
  13. Then you can integrate the promolink generator of the Digistore24 plugin into your affiliate support page via a shortcode/placeholder. You complete the shortcode with your content link: 
    [digistore_promolink url = YOUR_CONTENT-LINK]
  14. Instead of YOUR_CONTENT-LINK, use the content link that you just copied when creating the content page. You can then use the placeholder wherever you would use normal text or HTML codes:

    Your affiliates will see the following promolink generator:

 

Inform affiliates about the webinar

Now all you have to do is inform your affiliates about the webinar by making reference to your advertising material page or affiliate support page. Your affiliates will then receive the promolink and other advertising material if you’ve provided them.

You can reach your affiliates via email; your affiliates’ email addresses can be found under Account > Affiliates.
