Digistore24 gives you the option of including an animated Countdown Timer on your sales page (via HTML code) or your responsive order form. You can freely configure the size, color and position as well as adjust individual settings such as end time and automatic redirecting after it has ended. The resulting scarcity can help you to significantly increase your conversion once again.

Embed countdown into your sales page

Set up countdown

Please follow the guide below to set up your countdown on Digistore24. It does not matter where you want to embed your countdown later on.

1. In the vendor view, go to Account > Conversion tools.
2. Change to the tab Countdown.
3. Click on the button Add countdown timer.
4. For Name (internal) in the Properties window, enter the name of your individual countdown. This name will be visible to you only.
5. For Ends ... you can adjust the settings for the end time of the countdown.
   • ...at the end of product sales

     If you select this option, an additional field will be displayed where you can select a product. The countdown will show the remaining time until the end of the product sale.

     Set an end date for the product sale.

     1. In the vendor view, go to Account > Products.
     2. Click the pencil icon next to a product to edit it.
     3. Go to the Settings tab.
     4. Under Sales restrictions, set a date in the Stop sales at field.
      

   • For At countdown end ... select what should happen after the countdown has ended.
     • ... do nothing and show 00:00:00

       This setting applies to the order form and all pages where the countdown is embedded via HTML.

     • ... do nothing and hide on subsequent visits

       This setting applies to the order form and all pages where the countdown is embedded via HTML.

     • ... redirect to URL

       If you select this option, an additional URL field will be displayed. Enter the URL to which the customer should be redirected after the countdown ends.

       This setting applies to the order form and all pages where the countdown is embedded via HTML.

     • ... show popup - only for external pages

       If you select this option, additional fields will be displayed to customize the popup. The popup will be shown after the countdown ends.

       This setting applies only to pages where the countdown is embedded via HTML, not on the order form.

   • For Appearance, select a Type:

     Use the preview to compare different designs. 

     • Animated

       Use the fields below to adjust the appearance of the countdown.

     • Plain

       If you select this option, additional fields will be displayed. Under Template you can select a design and customize it using the additional fields.

   • Click Save.
   • In the Preview section, click the Open preview link.

After saving, the Shortcode and the HTML code required to embed the countdown on other pages will be displayed.

Embed countdown

You can embed the countdown using the shortcode on your WordPress page or via HTML code on any page.

HTML Code

1. Copy the HTML code displayed after saving in the countdown settings.
2. Paste the HTML code at the desired location on your sales page.

The countdown is available in German and English and will adjust to the language selected in the visitor's browser.

You can force English by adding the GET parameter for "language = English" ?lang=en to the URL in the HTML code.

WordPress

1. Make sure you have installed the Digistore24 Plugin (version 2.24 or later) or the DigiMember Plugin.
2. Insert the shortcode at the desired location on your WordPress page. You can use the shortcode wherever you use regular text.

Note
Older plugin versions may cause errors. You can update the plugin in WordPress under Plugins. 

Embed Countdown in Order Form

You can embed a countdown in an order form or in a multi-step order box.

1. In the Vendor view, open Account > Order Forms.
2. Create a new order form or click on the pencil icon of an existing order form to edit it.
3. Add the component Countdown to the order form.
