These details apply to the sale of products through Digistore GmbH. If you want to sell your products via the reseller Digistore24 Inc., please consider these approval criteria.
To ensure the quality and integrity of all products sold through us, our product approval team reviews every product before it's made available for sale (see Allowed and prohibited products).
This article contains approval criteria for selling your products and for your sales page.
During the approval process, we review your sales page, your product, and your thank you page to ensure that all details, e.g., on the return period, are consistent and match your product settings on Digistore24.

You can also use your Digistore24 order form as a sales page. This applies to sales via both the reseller Digistore24 GmbH and the reseller.
Approval criteria for product and sales pages

Complete your sales page before submitting it. Pay attention to quality and professionalism. Important: Ensure your sales page is accessible to us, meaning it should not be private or password-protected. |
Product Description |
Describe your product clearly and explicitly. The customer must know exactly what they are purchasing. |
Product price |
Clearly and visibly communicate your price. The price should match your listings in Digistore24 and align with the price-performance ratio. For subscriptions with minimum terms: Display the minimum term directly and visibly for the customer. For upsells: Inform the customer on your upsell sales page exactly how much the product costs and whether it is a subscription product. This information must not be hidden in a video but should be directly visible. |
Product type |
The product type is important to calculate the correct tax rate in the order form. Please choose the product type that applies to your product. Depending on the product type, there are additional criteria that you must consider for approval. (See below.) |
Product Delivery |
Explicitly explain in what form the customer will receive the product, e.g. digitally via download or by mail. |
Refund policy |
Clearly and openly communicate the return policy. The return period must be stated in writing. A seal alone is not sufficient. For sales through Digistore24 GmbH, return policies of 14, 30, 60, 90, or 180 days are possible. In exceptional cases, it is also possible not to grant a right of return. If you use a buy button on your sales page, there should be a Digistore24 order form linked behind it. Furthermore, all links you use should work. Important |
Terms & Privacy Policy of Digistore24 |
As a contractual partner, only the terms and privacy statements of Digistore24 are legally binding on the order form. These are already attached to the order form, and you do not need to take any action. For legal reasons, it is not permitted to use your own terms and privacy statements on your Digistore24 order form. |

Printed books and audiobooks on CD are sold at a reduced VAT rate of 7%. For this reason, we set the product type, e.g. printed book, after we have reviewed your product. You can find more information here. |

If you want to sell dietary supplements, please contact our support at genehmigung@digistore24.com, as these products require special permits (marketability documents and certification from the competent authority that the product is not subject to pharmacy obligation). |

Member Area |
As per our B2B contract (Point 3), you must not promise customers "lifetime" access/access or lifetime support. However, you can limit the access to a maximum of two years. Please do not use words like: “lifetime”, “lifelong”, “unlimited”, “durable”, “unrestricted”, “permanent”, “indefinite”, and “forever” Why not promise "lifetime" access? From a marketing point of view, promising lifetime access to member areas seems sensible at first glance, but our experience shows that many of these offers are no longer available after 24 months. In such cases, it may be legally necessary to refund the full invoice amount to the customers. For this reason, promises of "lifetime" access are not allowed. |
Important
Since the product type has tax relevance, resubmitting your product for approval is required if you change the product type after the product has already been approved. Sales cannot be made during the re-approval process.
Submit product for approval
- In the vendor view, go to Account > Products.
- Click on Request Approval for a desired product for the desired reseller (e.g. DS-de).

Your most important questions about approvals
Can the price be changed again after approval?
Yes, the price can be changed at any time. You can conduct a discounted beta phase and later change the price. Re-approval is not necessary.
How long does the review take?
The review is usually completed within 24 hours on weekdays. It is rarely delayed, or when a page has been submitted incomplete or not correctly linked. We give all vendors up to 48 hours to make improvements on the page before we reject it. Even this rejection can be reversed by correcting the page unless the product content is unacceptable.
