Set up Promolink generator using WordPress

How can I implement the Digistore24 promo link generator on my site?

To use the Digistore24 promo link generator, you need the Digistore24 WordPress plugin.

Download the Digistore24 plugin now

Install the plugin in your WordPress by uploading the downloaded file to WordPress under Plugins > Install. Then make sure your plugin is activated.

To embed the promo link generator on one of your pages, you should insert the WordPress shortcode where you want the generator to appear. This is the shortcode for it:

Shortcode: [digistore_promolink url=http://promo.AFFILIATE.123.digistore24.com]

In the final step, please replace the example product ID 123 with your own product ID at Digistore24 and save the changes to your page.

The language you have set in the WordPress admin area under Settings will also be used for the promo link generator.

How do I use the Digistore24 promo link and advertising material generator with WordPress?

The Digistore24 WordPress plugin provides a promo link and advertising material generator. With it, your affiliates can easily insert their Digistore24-ID in promo links and banner codes. First, install the Digistore24 WordPress plugin. In the WordPress admin area, go to Settings > Digistore24. There, under the heading 3. Link Generators, you will find information on how to use the link generators.

Important

The product ID is specified in the WordPress admin area under Settings > Digistore24.

Note

If you want to change the greeting for the promo link generator, you will find the desired text in the digistore_de_DE.po file in line 217. Please note that changes will be overwritten when the Digistore plugin is updated.

How to use the shortcodes

Replace with the link to your own banner. The texts in square brackets are the shortcodes, e.g. [digistore_promolink]. These texts should be kept.

Within the generated HTML code, you can use the shortcode [digistore_id], which stands for the Digistore ID of the affiliate:

Replace 1111, 2222, and 3333 with the respective product IDs.

Link for partner program

With this shortcode, affiliates can sign up for your partner program: [digistore_signup_url]

The shortcode is replaced by the URL, e.g. https://www.digistore24.com/signup/123/

You can use the shortcode as a URL to create a link or button, for example.

Preset affiliate names

You can pass the affiliate name as a GET parameter. Then the name will already be entered in the promo link generator, and the links in the advertising materials will be updated accordingly.

To do this, pass the affiliate name as the GET parameter affiliate, e.g.: http://www.my-domain.com/?affiliate=klaus

Replace "klaus" with the Digistore24 ID of the affiliate.

Important

Please test the HTML code generated by the generator. Some WordPress themes and plugins replace the quotation marks. Then the HTML code no longer works, even if it looks correct.

If <p> and </p> appear in the HTML code, this is due to the automatic paragraph formatting of your WordPress theme. Then write everything in one long line (which will be automatically wrapped if necessary), e.g.:
