Step 1 - Define Product Order
Think about the order in which you want to offer products to cater to the willingness of your customers to buy. This ensures that each offered product increases the customer's interest in the next upsell product.
- You implement the upsell flow in the Conversion Cockpit using a decision tree with a maximum of six levels. Thus, your upsell flow can offer up to six sales.
- It is best to plan a short upsell flow. Up to two upsell steps are usually a good measure. A short sales process also justifies the advantages of One-Click-Upsells.
- Offer suitable upsell products that make a meaningful addition to previous purchases.
- With each upsell step, you can offer one of the following options for sale:

Single product
e.g., an e-book.

Alternative products
e.g., a product in electronic or printed form; or a single volume from a series or the entire series; or different products.

Alternative quantity options
If you offer a product in multiple quantities, e.g., as packages of three, five, or seven units.

Alternative payment plans
e.g., if you offer a product as a monthly or annual subscription; or as a one-time payment or installment payment. Normally, you can offer alternative payment methods on the product's order form. If you want to use one-click upsells, you can offer the alternative payment methods on the upsell page.

- A final page (thank you page) for the end of the upsell flow as an alternative to the Digistore24 order confirmation page.
Step 2 - Consider the Upsell Page
Each upsell product requires its own sales page, the upsell page. Each upsell page leads to the order form of the respective upsell product. For this, the upsell page uses purchase decision buttons. You can decide in advance whether to use your own buttons or the Digistore24 upsell purchase button. Only with the Digistore24 upsell purchase button are one-click upsells possible when selling in the European Union.
Step 3 - Consider One-Click Upsell
Normally, sales pages redirect to the Digistore24 order form, where the customer can complete the purchase. Upsell pages are also sales pages and lead to the order form of the respective upsell product. One-click upsell refers to the purchase of an upsell product directly on the upsell page, without the customer being redirected to the order form. One-click upsells streamline the sales process and provide a better buying experience for the customer. This way, you can achieve more consecutive sales and increase your conversion.
Step 4 - Consider Multiple Languages
You can offer your upsell flow in multiple languages to sell your product in target markets with different languages. This way, the Digistore24 order forms of the individual upsell products are displayed in the customer's language.
Step 5 - Request Sales Partnerships
With a cross-upsell, two vendors can work together. One vendor can sell the products of the other vendor as upsells in their own sales process.
Cross-upsells can increase your earnings by offering your customers meaningful additional products from your partners and receiving sales commissions for them. This way, you can also fill gaps in your product range and improve the sales experience.
