The 0-day return policy is a return policy that you can set up for your products.
Products with a 0-day return policy cannot be returned after purchase if you, as the vendor, have met the contractual obligations of the purchase agreement.
Please note
Buyers must actively agree to the 0-day return policy before they can complete the purchase.
Requirements
The following conditions must be met for you to be able to set a 0-day return policy for a product:
- You have requested and received the required user right.
- Your product is one of the following product types:
- Download product
- Digital product, e.g. member area and online course
- Service, e.g. online coaching
Please note
There is generally no right of revocation for seminars.
FAQ
Does the customer waive their statutory right of revocation?
No, the customer cannot waive their statutory right of revocation.
In some cases, however, the right of revocation ends as soon as the customer has gained full access to the product.
To prevent misuse, you can set a 0-day return policy for some products. The customer's right of revocation will expire as soon as you have met your contractual obligations, as they will then have access to the content.
When have I met my contractual obligations as a vendor?
The 0-day return policy becomes effective as soon as you, as a vendor, have fully met your contractual obligations.
You have met your contractual obligations once you have granted the customer full access to the purchased products and the customer can access the content at any time.
Download products
- You have made the download product available after purchase via the download vault on the order confirmation page or in the order confirmation email.
-
and the customer has downloaded the download product
Please note
As the download vault is provided by us, no manual proof of meeting the contractual obligation is necessary.
Digital products (e.g. membership areas and online courses)
- After your purchase, you have made the access data (user name and password) available on the order confirmation page or in the order confirmation email.
-
and the customer has evidently logged in using the provided access data
Please note
You are responsible for providing proof of this (see Submit proof for 0-day return policy).
As a vendor, you are considered to have provided the purchased service in full when you have, e.g. completed an online coaching session.
So long as you, as the vendor, have not met the contractual conditions, the customer may exercise their right of return.
Please note
If the buyer wishes to return a product with a 0-day return policy, we will check whether the contractual obligations have been met. To do this, we may need proof from you (see Returns for 0-day return policy).
How is the buyer informed about the 0-day return policy?
The buyer is informed about the 0-day return policy on the order form via a checkbox.
The product can only be purchased by actively ticking the checkbox. This is the only way we can ensure that the buyer agrees to the 0-day return policy.
Depending on the product type, the checkbox will contain the following text:
| Product type | Text for checkbox |
| Digital product and software | "I expressly agree that you may begin performing the contract before expiry of the revocation period. I am aware that I will lose my right of revocation upon granting this consent and upon commencement of the performance of the contract.” |
| Service | "I agree and expressly request that you begin providing the contracted services before the end of the revocation period. I am aware that I will lose my right of revocation once you have fully performed the contract." |
Please note
A right of revocation is always granted for all other product types.
What happens if a buyer requests a refund?
If a buyer requests a refund for a product with a 0-day return policy, we can only reject it if you have proven that you have met your contractual obligation. The proof can be automatic or manual (see Submit proof for 0-day return policy).
How do I set the 0-day return policy for a product?
You can only set the 0-day return policy as a vendor once you have the required user right.
You can request the user right once your product has been approved (see Request user right for 0-day return policy).
