User types on Digistore24

There are the following user types on Digistore24:

User type
 		Explanation
Vendor Product manufacturer/product owner – e.g., of digital products or event organizers. This user type must have a Digistore24 account.
 Joint Venture (Special case) Cooperation between two or more vendors. This user type must have a Digistore24 account.
Affiliate  Sales partners of vendors. They advertise products
for a fixed commission. For this purpose, they usually have their own online presence (e.g., website, social media) where they advertise the vendors' products. This user type must have a Digistore24 account.
End customer  Customers that buy the product via the Digistore24 order form. This user type does not need a Digistore24 account.

 

Vendors

Anyone who wants to sell their products via Digistore24 as a vendor:

  • Must have a business
    Exception: The Vendor/Affiliate is exclusively a contractual partner of Digistore24 Inc.
  • Must have a Digistore24 account
  • Enters into a reseller agreement with Digistore24
  • Independently creates their products on Digistore24 and manages them there
  • Must have a page to present their products, e.g., a sales page
  • Is responsible for their products and the accuracy of the information about their products

Joint Ventures

Anyone who wants to cooperate with a vendor as a joint venture:

Affiliates

Anyone who wants to market products via Digistore24 as an affiliate:

  • Must have a business
  • Must have a Digistore24 account
  • Enters into a reseller agreement with Digistore24
  • Must have an approved partnership with the vendor of the desired product
  • Must have a Digistore24 affiliate link

Here is how the sales process works for you as an affiliate.

End customers

We refer to buyers of a product as end customers. End customers are contractual partners of Digistore24 (see reseller model). Payment processing for end customers is carried out by Digistore24.

End customers:

  • Do not need to have a Digistore24 account
  • Arrive at the Digistore24 order form via the vendor's sales page and buy the product there
  • Will receive an automatic confirmation email from Digistore24 with invoice and order details
