As a private consumer, you generally have a right of revocation of at least 14 days with Digistore24. This means that you can cancel your order within this period and get your money back.
However, some products may differ from this rule if they fulfill special requirements. In these exceptional cases, you will find this or a similar checkbox on the order form, which you must tick when making your purchase:
If you have ticked this checkbox, you will still have your statutory right of return of 14 days. However, this right may expire partially or completely before the end of this period.
To find out more about what this means in your specific case, select whether you have purchased a digital product or service here:
- I purchased a digital product (e.g. e-book, online course)
- I purchased a service (e.g. coaching via Zoom)
The no right of revocation checkbox for digital products
If you have ticked this checkbox when purchasing a digital product, your 14-day right of return shall expire from the moment you have received everything you need to access the service you purchased.
Example 1: You buy a download product…
… Immediately after your purchase, you will be taken to a page where you can download the product. Once on this page, no further action is required from us or the product manufacturer for you to access your product, which is why your right of revocation shall expire at this point.
Example 2: You buy an online course…
… In order to access the course, you need to register on the provider's website. You will receive the access data for this from the seller via email. As the seller has to create them first, they will send them to you one day after your purchase. Once you have received the email, you have everything you need to access your online course without any further action on our part or that of the product manufacturer – which means that your right of revocation will expire at this point.
Please note: If access is not possible for reasons beyond your control (such as a download button that is not working), your right of revocation will remain unaffected.
The no right of revocation checkbox for services
If you have purchased a service and activated this checkbox, your right of revocation shall only expire completely once the promised service has been provided in full. This means that it may be possible to return the goods within the revocation period even if the seller has already provided part of the service. In such a case, however, the seller shall be entitled to receive remuneration for the partial service already provided.
Example: You buy two coaching sessions…
… and have already completed the first coaching session. If you cancel before the second coaching session, the price of the coaching session you have already received will be deducted from your refund. The share of the total value of the product accounted for by this first coaching session shall be calculated separately.
Consumer protection at Digistore24
Digistore24 shall ensure that your right of revocation only expires prematurely in exceptional cases and under certain conditions – namely if the product has proven itself, is trustworthy, and has generally been rated positively by customers. Individual cases are carefully examined to ensure that you are treated fairly as a buyer. If the promised service was not delivered, you can rest assured that we will thoroughly and satisfactorily review your claim for a refund.
How can I cancel?
If you would like to cancel, please contact our support team. To enable us to process your request as quickly as possible, please state which parts of the service you have already received and what you are still missing.
