If page visitors should not be led directly to the sales page as is the case with the promolink, but rather to a webinar page, then you need to use a content link.
Example:
- You send the page visitor to a webinar page via a content link. This sets a cookie in the visitor's browser.
- After the webinar, the visitor is sent a link (e.g. by email). Only by clicking on this link will they end up on the vendor's sales page.
- On the sales page, the customer then clicks on the link to the order form, where they buy the product. Even if the customer made the purchase via an indirect route, they are still correctly assigned to you thanks to the cookie that was set at the beginning.
The promolink cannot be used here, which is why there is the content link.

Test your link before you use it!
To do so, follow this guide.
Step-by-step guide: Create a content link
- In the affiliate view, go to Account > Content links.
- Click on the button Create content link.
- For Target URL, enter the URL of your content page/webinar page.
- In the For product field, select the product for which you are creating the content link.
- For Approval, select the option Request approval now or do so later in the overview. The content link is usually approved by Digistore24 within 24 hours.
- Finally, click on Save.
You first need an approved affiliation!
If you want to create a content page for a third-party product, you should first enter into a partnership with the product vendor. You can find a list of your active affiliations under Account > Affiliate partnerships. Only then can you select a third-party product under the item For product.
