ShipStation is a tool for processing orders. You can connect ShipStation to Digistore24. This transfers data to ShipStation which can be used for fulfillment purposes.

To connect ShipStation to Digistore24, you need to set up an IPN connection for the target system ShipStation in Digistore24.

Requirements

• You already have a ShipStation account.
• You have created an API key and an API secret in ShipStation.

If you haven’t created an API key and API secret yet, you can find a guide on how to do so here.

Set up IPN connection

1. Log into your Digistore24 account.
2. Go to the Vendor view and open Settings > Integrations (IPN).
3. Click on the Add new connection button. An overview of the connections will now be displayed.
4. Click on the ShipStation card. The input form will now open.
5. Enter a Name. This is only visible to you.
6. Select the products for which an IPN should be sent in the For products field.
7. Select whether an IPN should be sent even if the products are purchased as add-ons in the For add-ons field.
8. You can select the product languages for which an IPN should be sent in the For orders in these languages field.
9. You can select the delivery countries for which an IPN should be sent in the For deliveries to these countries field.
10. You can select the resellers for which an IPN should be sent in the For orders from this reseller field.
11. You can select the events for which an IPN should be sent in the Send notification field.
12. Select whether an IPN should also be sent for test purchases in the Deliver test orders field.
13. Select whether the individual orders of an upsell sale should be sent bundled in one IPN or in separate IPNs in the Group upsells field.

    Only IPNs for products that are selected in the For products field will be sent.

14. If you have selected No in the Group upsells field: In the One IPN call per add-on field, select whether the individual products of an add-on sale should be sent bundled in one IPN or in separate IPNs.

15. Enter the ShipStation API Key.
16. Enter the ShipStation API Secret.
17. Enter the ShipStation stock keeping units (SKUs) in the Product Mapping field for the corresponding Digistore24 products.

    Note
    If you want to enter multiple SKUs in one field, separate them with commas.

18. Select whether the connection should be active immediately after saving in the Active field.
19. You can enter one or more email addresses in the Email address for error notifications field. If there are errors in sending the IPN, you will be informed via these email addresses.
20. Click on the Save button. The IPN connection is now set up.

Note
Use the Test connection button to check whether the IPN connection you have set up works and IPNs are transferred to the target system.

Tip

You can create multiple IPN connections for a target system and thereby cover different use cases. Which use cases are possible and appropriate also depends on the target system.

Examples

• Data is to be transferred to multiple email lists or campaigns
• When a payment is made, the customer should be added to an email list, when a return is made, the customer should be removed from an email list
• For certain products, an IPN should only be sent for customer orders, and for other products, it should also be sent for affiliate partnerships

Set up a separate IPN connection for each use case for the respective target system.
