As of 01.04.2019, we are changing PayPal payouts from individual payouts (via "Send Money") to collective transfers (via "Mass Pay").
This applies to you if you have set PayPal as the payout method for your payout account.
In this case, we will transfer your earnings directly to your PayPal account. For this transfer, PayPal charges fees. And these fees will change due to the new transfer mode:
For individual payouts (before 01.04.2019), you had to pay the fees to PayPal yourself. For collective transfers (from 01.04.2019 onwards), the transfer fees will be paid directly by Digistore24. These will then be deducted from your payout amount.
This has two important benefits for you:
- You don't have to worry about PayPal fees anymore because Digistore24 will take care of these for you from 01.04.2019.
- Introducing collective transfers means that you will pay less in the vast majority of cases.
| Who pays the PayPal fees? | Fee | |
| BEFORE (prior to 01.04.2019): Individual payouts | You paid the PayPal fees for the transfer of your earnings to PayPal. Digistore24 was not involved in this process. |
|
| AFTER (from 01.04.2019): Collective transfers | Digistore24 pays the PayPal fees for the transfer and deducts them from the payout amount. | 2 % of the payout amount or a fixed amount for higher sums (see here) |

When do I have to pay these fees?
The fees only apply if you have chosen PayPal as your payment method for your payout account.
It is irrelevant how your customers pay.
Examples
Regular situation
