I have placed an order on Digistore24

Offer newsletter on order form

You can set up each of your products to allow customers to sign up for your newsletter on the order form. Through an IPN connection, you can notify your email marketing tool about new newsletter sign-ups during a product sale.

You will need:

  • A Digistore24 product

  • An email marketing tool, e.g., Klick-Tipp

  • An IPN connection between Digistore24 and your email marketing tool

Set up newsletter opt-in on the order form

Follow these steps:

  1. In the Vendor view Account > Products.

  2. Click the pencil icon to edit an existing product.

  3. Activate the Order form tab.

  4. Go to the Order form section. Here you will find the field Show checkbox for newsletter opt-in with the following options:

    1. Yes, a checkbox for newsletter opt-in will be displayed on the order form.

    2. No, no checkbox for newsletter opt-in will be displayed on the order form.

  5. Select an option for the order form of the selected product.

Set up IPN notifications

The checkbox mentioned above is directly related to the IPN sending settings for all your IPN connections. Each IPN connection, e.g., to Klick-Tipp, has the field IPN notification is sent... with the following options:

  • ..., if there is NO opt-in checkbox OR the buyer checks it.

    Use this option for newsletters with product information that do not require explicit consent.

    No checkbox is displayed on the order form. Or there is a checkbox and it is checked by the customer. In both cases, an IPN is sent when the product is purchased.

  • ..., if the buyer does NOT check the opt-in checkbox.

    Use this option if you want to handle each case (checked, not checked) in separate IPNs.

    A checkbox is displayed on the order form. The IPN is only sent if the customer does not check the checkbox when purchasing.

  • ..., if the buyer checks the opt-in checkbox.

    Use this option if the customer is subscribing to a marketing newsletter.

    A checkbox is displayed on the order form. The IPN is only sent if the customer checks the checkbox when purchasing.

  • ..., in any case.

    Use this option if the customer is purchasing a course from you.

    A checkbox is displayed on the order form. The IPN is sent regardless of whether the checkbox is checked or not.
