Payout refers to the process where Digistore24 transfers your earnings to the payout account you specified.

Digistore24 is fully automated software that handles thousands of transactions daily. Therefore, without exceptions:

• Your earnings remain safely stored in your Digistore24 account until they can be paid out.
• As long as you do not meet the requirements for payouts, no payout can occur.
• The payout happens automatically. A manual payout by Digistore24 staff is not possible, even upon request. This is for technical and security reasons, which also serve to protect you.
• Time does not matter. Even if your earnings have been in your Digistore24 account for months, the payout can only occur when all conditions are met.

The following conditions affect your payouts:

• Deduction of commissions
  If you have contracts with affiliates and other vendors (in the form of joint ventures), the commissions and shares you have set will be deducted from the gross earnings.
• Payout dates
  There are four regular payout dates per month, of which you can use one, two, or all.
• Payout threshold
  To reduce fees, payouts are only made from a set minimum amount, referred to as the payout threshold, which may vary depending on the payout date.
• Security retention
  To enable refunds for returned products, your Digistore24 account needs a cash buffer. Therefore, 10% of your earnings are withheld for 60 days before they are also paid out. This is referred to as the security retention.

Good to know
If the remaining balance in your Digistore24 account does not meet the payout threshold due to the security retention, no payout can occur. In this case,

• you need more earnings
• or wait for a payout date with a lower payout threshold
• or wait until the security retention is released.

Requirements

To enable automatic payouts, make the following settings. Payouts are only possible when all requirements are met.

1. Provide VAT ID or tax number
   If your company is based in Europe and you sell through the reseller Digistore24 GmbH, your VAT ID or tax number is required for payouts.
2. Set payout dates and payout threshold
   • Set the regular dates on which your earnings should be automatically paid out.
   • Set the minimum amounts for automatic payout.
3. Set payout currency
   Specify which of the received currencies should be paid out to the desired account.
4. Set reseller for payout
   Specify which Digistore24 reseller should execute the payout.
5. Set payout method
   Specify how the payout should be made, e.g., PayPal or bank transfer, etc.
6. Specify payout account
   Provide your desired payout account.
