Now that you’ve planned your upsell flow, this article shows you how to create your upsell products. For more general information, see the main article Upsells.

Any Digistore24 product can be offered as an upsell of another product. In addition, you can specify that a product is only available for sale as an upsell product.

• Upsell-only products cannot be purchased as initial products, but only as a follow-up to one.
• Upsell-only products do not have affiliate links and therefore cannot be promoted directly.
• Upsell-only products are not displayed in the affiliate marketplace.

Sell product individually or as an upsell

To create the product, use the Quick Start Guide for vendors. Here you’ll find detailed information on how to create different product types.

Sell product as an upsell only

To create the product, proceed as described above and add the following setting:

1. In the vendor view, open Account > Products.
2. Click on the pencil icon of your product to open it for editing.
3. Go to Properties > Sales limits.
4. In the Upgrade/ Downgrade /Upsell field, select Can ONLY be bought as an upgrade/downgrade/member offer or as an upsell (not individually).

   The Forward if not eligible field will be displayed. Ignore this at this point. You’ll learn more about this in the article Integrate upsell page.

5. Click on Save to apply the changes.
