Frequently asked questions
My customers are not being redirected to the desired thank you page. Why?
If buyers are not redirected to the page you have set as the thank you page in your product settings after purchase, the cause may be a redirect that your website is executing. Check the settings on your website to see if a redirect is active.
To easily detect redirects, use the GET parameter ?test_redirects=1. Add this GET parameter to the order form URL, for example: https://www.checkout-ds24.com/product/123 ?test_redirects=1
This will prevent the redirect from being executed automatically and a middle page will appear:
The redirect will only be executed after clicking the link.
You can end the test with ?test_redirects=0, for example, by adding this GET parameter to your order form URL: https://www.checkout-ds24.com/product/123 ?test_redirects=0
If you want to test redirects outside of Digistore24, we recommend the site redirectdetective.com.
Why do I see an affiliate in my test purchase?
This only happens if you have an affiliate cookie on your computer. This means that you previously clicked on an affiliate's promo link.
If you want to remove this, please delete the cookies in your browser. Then you can repeat your test purchase.
Instructions for deleting cookies can be obtained from your browser provider.
How can I stop receiving emails from test subscription purchases?
If you keep receiving emails from us that are order confirmations of test subscriptions, you can stop them by interrupting the test subscriptions.
-
In the vendor view, go to reports > transactions.
-
Search for the order either with the customer's last name, email address, or order ID. The results will be displayed.
-
Click on the magnifying glass icon under actions for the respective order. This will take you to the order details.
-
Scroll to the log menu item and click the pause payments button for the desired transaction.
I can't perform a test purchase because the product is not approved. What should I do?
A test purchase can be performed at any time, even if the respective product has not yet been approved.
However, there are several scenarios that can prevent a test purchase:
Scenario 1:
The most common cause is that you have an ad blocker (or another browser extension that blocks page content) installed, so the "Test Pay" payment option is not displayed despite prior login.
To resolve this, proceed as follows:
- Delete your cookies and cache (or switch browsers).
- Disable your browser extensions.
- Log in again.
If these steps did not help, please contact our support at support@digistore24.com.
Scenario 2:
If you have already requested approval and the product was rejected, the order form cannot be accessed temporarily – which also means a test purchase is not possible. If this is the case, please contact our support at support@digistore24.com.
Scenario 3:
You have a function in your browser enabled that blocks cross-domain tracking. In Safari, such an option is called "Prevent cross-site tracking."
Scenario 4:
You are not using the exact browser window for the test purchase in which you are also logged into Digistore24.
Scenario 5:
You are using a private/incognito window.
