The Digistore24 API allows you to connect external applications to Digistore24 and thereby automate the exchange of data. You must create an API key to gain access to the Digistore24 API.
How to create an API key:
- Go to the vendor view Settings > Account access.
- Switch to the tab API keys.
- Click on the button New API key.
- Enter a Name.
- Select the API permissions.
You have the following options:

Full access
- The external application can retrieve data from Digistore24, e.g. order details.
- The external application can store information in Digistore24, e.g. order cancellation.

Read access
The external application can retrieve data from Digistore24, e.g. order details.

Shipping service provider
The external application of a shipping center can retrieve and/or store shipping data (see Use of Digistore24 shipping centers).

Developer

- You can enter Allowed IPs

Separate multiple entries with commas.Please note
Only fill in the field if you want to restrict access from IPs. If you do not fill in the field, access from any IP is permitted. - You can enter a Note. The content of the field will only be visible to you.
- Select whether the settings should be active immediately after saving in the Active field.
- Select the appropriate option for the external application in the Only allow secure authentication field.
Please note
Use the No option for old applications that are no longer updated and do not support secure authentication. - Click on the button Save.
The API key has been created and is visible in the API key field.
