1. Email marketing using Klick-Tipp
Klick-Tipp is the most popular email marketing system in Germany and can be fully integrated with Digistore24. You can transfer the customers/affiliates you have acquired on Digistore24 to your Klick-Tipp profile and generate a customer list automatically.
To be able to use Klick-Tipp, you first have to purchase their product. Since Klick-Tipp is also one of our vendors, buying their product takes place through Digistore24.
Which connections does Klick-Tipp offer?
- Tags: Klick-Tipp sets tags for successful payments/repayments/chargebacks.
- Additional fields for order forms: It adopts the following things into an additional field (custom field): invoice link (receipt_link) and reactivation link (renew_link)
- Affiliate mailing list: When a new partnership is formed, the affiliate can be included in a mailing list. The affiliate is also assigned a tag and the affiliate ID is transferred to an additional field.
Connect Klick-Tipp to Digistore24
- In the vendor view, go to Settings > Integrations (IPN) configuration configuration.
- Click on the button “Add new connection”.
- Now choose a name for the connection. This will only be visible to you.
- As the type, select “Klick-Tipp (full integration)”.
- Select “All products” (for all your products) and set the triggers for your notifications.
- Now click on “Save”.
Now log into your Klick-Tipp account.
- In the menu, select “List building > New listing”.
- Scroll down to “Payment providers” and select “Digistore24”.
- Now select the product with which you want to use Klick-Tipp or click on “Catch all” to select all products.
- Click on “Create Digistore24 product”.
- Check whether the product name and the product ID next to it are correct.
- Check whether your Digistore24 username is displayed correctly.
Now the point “Transmission of additional parameters (optional)” will appear. At this point, it certainly makes sense to work with the “additional fields” on Klick-Tipp. You can use these fields to create a kind of “placeholder” for your email templates, which can be used e.g. for newsletters to your customers and/or affiliates via Klick-Tipp.
An example: On Klick-Tipp, there is a predefined additional field called “CUSTOMER FIRST NAME”. Now set the following text in your email template for the greeting: “Hello CUSTOMER FIRST NAME!”. If a customer named John Smith buys your product, he will receive an email with the following greeting: “Hello John!”
Digistore24 recommends that you include invoice links and reactivation links in your emails. These additional fields have already been created by Klick-Tipp.
- Select additional parameters/fields that you want to use with Klick-Tipp.
- For the point “Additional tagging (optional)”, you can configure further settings if you have already created tags on Klick-Tipp.
Now the point “Affiliate settings” will appear. If you want your affiliates to be added to your Klick-Tipp list as well and thereby want to automatically send complete and personalized promolinks to your affiliates via email, you must first create a new double opt-in process at this point. Here you will learn how to create a new double opt-in process on Klick-Tipp.
- Now select your double opt-in process from the dropdown with the same name.
- Select the affiliate ID from the dropdown with the same name.
- Under the subitem “Additional tagging (optional)”, you can assign an additional tag.
- Finally, click on “Save”.
2. Addons
Not every product is suitable as an upsell or downsell (see upsells and downsells), as these are always offered after the actual purchase. However, smaller products can be recommended as add-ons directly on the order form, which the customer can then choose to purchase together with the actual product.
E-books are particularly popular add-ons on Digistore24. For example, if you sell a guide on how to learn a foreign language quickly, an e-book about the culture and history of the country would be a welcome addition.
An add-on is an individual product!
You must first create your add-on as a standalone product. You can then add it to your main product.
Create an add-on
- In the vendor view, go to Product setup > Product configuration.
- Click on the pencil icon of the product on whose order form you would like to offer the add-on product and not the add-on product itself.
- Switch to the tab “Add-ons”.
- If you activate the option “Buying main product is optional, if add-ons are present”, customers are able to choose the add-on product only rather than having to purchase the main product as well.
- If you select the option “for whole transaction amount” for “Calculate affiliate and joint venture commissions”, then the affiliate commission settings of the main product will apply, not those of the add-on product. However, the entire purchase amount is used to calculate the commission i.e. the purchase amount of the main product plus the purchase amounts of any add-on products. If you select the option “separately for each add-on amount” , then the affiliate commission of the main product and the affiliation commission of the add-on products that you have set will be added together. The affiliate commission settings can be adjusted in the respective product settings under Product setup > Product configuration.
- Now click on “Save”.
- Now scroll down to the “New add-on” field.
- Select the add-on product in the “New add-on field”. In principle, an add-on product can be any product that you have set up in your vendor account and that has already received approval from the Digistore24 team.
- If you want the add-on product to be preselected when the order form is accessed (i.e. automatically added to the shopping cart), activate the checkbox next to “Preselected”.
- Under the subitem “Affiliate settings”, you can assign an additional tag.
- Finally, click on “Save”.
3. Payment Methods
Digistore24 offers your customers a wide range of payment methods, so you can maximize your sales. Here we explain the individual options and which credit cards are accepted.
To see which payment methods are available for your account, go to Settings > Payment methods.
Here are the payment methods that Digistore24 offers:
- Mastercard
- Visa
- PayPal
- Sofort
- iDEAL
- SEPA Direct Debit
- Purchase on account
- Prepayment/Bank transfer
Note: Mastercard and Visa credit cards must support 3D Secure to be accepted.
4. Subscriptions
To ensure a smooth flow of subscriptions and to get the most out of this function, here are some tips.
Create a subscription product
- In the vendor view, go to Product setup > Product configuration.
- Click on the plus icon.
- Under “General information”, select the product type “Subscription”.
- Now fill in the other fields according to your needs.
- Select whether you want the subscription to start immediately or after a certain period (e.g. 7 days).
- Choose the payment interval (e.g. monthly or annually).
- Set the price and currency for your subscription product.
- If desired, set a trial period with a reduced price.
- Set the affiliate commission percentage for the subscription product.
- Click “Save” to create the subscription product.
Manage subscriptions
Once you have created your subscription product, you can manage it through the Digistore24 dashboard.
- In the vendor view, go to Subscriptions.
- Here you can view all active subscriptions, update payment details, and handle cancellations.
- You can also send reminders to customers about upcoming payments.
- Use the reporting tools to track the performance of your subscription products.
5. Coupons
Coupons are a great way to attract new customers and reward existing ones. Here's how you can create and manage coupons on Digistore24.
Create a coupon
- In the vendor view, go to Coupons.
- Click on the plus icon to create a new coupon.
- Enter a name for your coupon (this will be visible to customers).
- Set the discount type (e.g., percentage or fixed amount).
- Set the discount value.
- Choose the products that the coupon will apply to.
- Set the start and end dates for the coupon's validity.
- If desired, set a usage limit per customer.
- Click “Save” to create the coupon.
Manage coupons
Once you have created your coupons, you can manage them through the Digistore24 dashboard.
- In the vendor view, go to Coupons.
- Here you can view all active and expired coupons.
- You can edit or delete coupons as needed.
- Track the performance of your coupons using the reporting tools.
